The End of An Era: MTV shuts down

It is just minutes away from ushering in the New Year of 2026 and MTV is permanently closing up shop. From its 1981 televised incarnation to its current status of being heavily plagued by endless amounts of non reality television play,MTV has decided to throw in the towel and call it a day as there are not only no more music videos to play but also no more music related news to report on nor any celebrity interviews to play as the world has been endlessly plagued by heavy amounts of political news(a televised format which has run rampant over tabloid news since the start of the 2000s),news on extremely terrible films(that have existed since the 2000s),and even more political news as the world hasn't been in a good place since the rises of the extremist far right wing movement,Alex Jones and Infowars,the Tea Party,QAnon,Donald Trump's Presidency and All of the minions that have surrounded him(with even worse personal intentions than Trump),and so forth as nothing seems to be enjoyable nor related to an MTV music video world anymore as "Video Killed The Radio Star" has thoroughly been replaced with "Reality TV Killed The Video Star" and "Far Right Wing Political Bigwigs Killed The Video Star" in the way that the world has sadly gone by after the start of the 21st. Century. Whichever way,we have just got to say goodbye to MTV as MTV(even in its sometimes obnoxious and annoying times) is going to be very heavily missed as it is much more welcomed than another shot of Donald Trump Presidency era related news. Quentin Tarantino to direct the next Halloween Movie? Michael Myers anti...

One of my main Christmas wishes is for movies to be entertaining again(amid movie theaters prices becoming more cheaper and affordable for moviegoers),as the likes of AVATAR 3:FIRE AND ASH,SCREAM 7,and Sam Raimi's upcoming SEND HELP all absolutely do nothing for me. Rumored news has just broken out on-line at various clickbait sites and clickbait YouTube sites that Quentin Tarantino is going to direct the next HALLOWEEN film. What ?! No Way---No Absolute Way as many of Tarantino's projects tend to wind up becoming unfilmed: anyone remember the likes of QT's FRIDAY THE 13TH.,QT's STAR TREK,QT's THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.,a John Travolta/Pam Grier starring AIRPORT reboot,THE VEGA BROTHERS,and a ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD sequel ? Well,neither do I. It is kind of ironic news,since Tarantino was previously attached to HALLOWEEN 6:THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS when he financially helped Miarmax/Dinemsnion Films gain the rights for a new HALLOWEEN film for someone like Scott Spiegel(Sam Raimi alumni) to direct,as we all know how HALLOWEEN 6 turned out to be. Anyway,Tarantino has no time to make a new HALLOWEEN film unless he plans to co-produce it otherwise I just don't see it happening. Otherwise,since I'm too damn tired(as of this writng),I will just wisely leave it here for everyone to pick their brains on... Danielle Harris confirms cancellation of podcast with Scout Taylor Compt...

While in the midsts of covering both SCREAM 7 and anything that is both political and movies related,word has broken out that the Danielle Harris and Scout Taylor Compton related podcast Talk Scary To Me has abruptly ended after their recent Houston horror convention appearance,with lots of wild speculation,heavy gossip,and antsy fanboys(and fangirls) in heavy defense of both Danielle and Scout. And while I was never a fan of both (the heavy sex talk and true crime stories filled)Talk Scary To Me podcasts(and all other horror/genre related podcasts in general),it is sad upon hearing that Talk Scary To Me has ended after its five year run since it isn't worth heavily diving into heavily speculating about what happened(upon...I really hate to say this...whether it was drugs,having affairs behind their husbands' backs,or somewhat[since I've heard those two rumors,which I'll claim is only just speculation and nothing else more]) since it is only both Scout's and Danielle's business and nobody elses since they'll eventually come public about it. Otherwise,it is a sad end to a popular podcast from two top modern Scream Queen actresses,as the truth will someday eventually come out about this sad situation that only both Danielle and Scout can openly address. SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT | International Red Band Trailer | Sixth Dime...

After finishing up my late Thanksgiving turkey dinner,I went through a lot of news items to cover as I choose to cover the second remake of SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT,the upcoming redux from Bloody Disgusting's theatrical arm Cineverse(who brought us TERRIFIER 2 and TERRIFIER 3,and the widely publicized but quickly disappearing and very underwhelming THE OUTWATERS)with the only recognizable star here being Roham Campbell(a.k.a.: HALLOWEEN ENDS' Cody Cunningham[who the folks at Bloody Disgusting love just as much as they love genre actor Johnathan Schaech{a.k.a.:Christina Applegate's ex-husband}]) as the new Santa Claus suit suit clad psychotpath Billy. I don't think that this film will be much,as this film mainly serves as a celluloid vehicle for breaking out Rohan Campbell as a new male horror actor as modern horror cinema has been in sheer need of new male horror stars since the 90s and onward have mainly focuses on actresses and it is time for a new male horror star since TERRIFIER's David Howard Thornton(a.k.a.:the modern day Robert Englund) can't do everything by himself(acting-wise) in modern horror cinema,as well as Bloody Disgusting possibly building up Campbell as a new rival for Art The Clown to take on in (the soon-to-film) TERIFIER 4(which has already cast WWE wrestler Rhea Ripley[who is an openly admitted TERRIFIER films fan]). Otherwise,we'll just to save our words about the new SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT(which is also Bloody Disgusting's/Cineverse's semi-revenge for the then-sabotage of the original SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT'S short lived 1984 theatrical release) and sit back to see what happens with both the upcoming new film and its intended horror cinema career for Rohan Campbell. Tom Cruise Receives an Honorary Oscar Award | The 16th Governors Awards ...

Right now,so many things are going through my mind for future blog entries(such as Marjorie Taylor Greene leaving Congress,SCREAM 7,and a new Motley Crue cashgrab tour),for I've got to first talk about Tom Cruise's recent honorary Oscar that he got awarded with a few weeks ago. It comes as no surrpise that Tom got that honorary Oscar as he was always Hollywood's chosen golden boy in the 80s and has always continued to march on forward,even after surviving a divorce from Nicole Kidman as Tom kept re-inventing his career with many ventures in dramas,horror,sci-fi,and action as the MISSION:MPOSSIBLE films have continuously carried his career onward. He may have grown some talent in the 90s but hehas always been such a vapid and wooden on-screen personality yet he keeps on making money even if his last five MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE grown as stale and cliched as the JOHN WICK and THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS. He has gotten old looking in the last few years(ala Pamela Anderson),as I'm getting the strong feeling that Tom might just be stepping down and walking away from the big screen as Icould be wrong,but then again you just might never know(knowing the wears and tears of the Tinseltown film industry--just ask Quentin Tarantino,who is currently on his second hiatus while he is now preparing to release his fully uncut four-and-a-half hour version of KILL BILL). And speaking of honorary Oscars,isn't it time that the likes of Bruce Lee,Tom Savini,Christopher Lee,George Lucas,Alfred Hitchcock,and even Sid Haig should already be receiving honorary Oscars(for the new year[of 2026])...
